The "Dead Boy Detectives" series is based on the comic book series "The Dead Boy Detectives" by Neil Gaiman. It follows the adventures of two deceased boys, Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, as they solve mysteries in the fictional English town of St. Hilarion's School. The series combines elements of mystery, supernatural phenomena and adventure as the boys try to find out how they died and what happens to them in the afterlife.
The series is shot primarily in British Colombia, Canada. The first episode of the first season was shot in London around Westminster Bridge and the National Maritime Museum.
