"Love, Simon" is a 2018 American romantic comedy-drama film directed by Greg Berlanti. The film is based on the novel "Simon vs. the expectations of the rest of the world" (original title: "Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda") by Becky Albertalli.
The film follows Simon Spier, a high school student who struggles with the fact that he is homosexual and has not yet revealed it to his family and friends. Simon begins an anonymous email correspondence with another student from his school, who calls himself "Blue" mentions. While trying to find out who Blue is, Simon is forced to examine his own identity and relationships. The situation becomes complicated when a fellow student discovers Simon's emails and threatens to out him unless Simon helps him ingratiate himself with one of his girlfriends.
