The Professor's hideout.

Various interior scenes of Professor Chagrijn's hiding place were recorded in the former Unilever building at Olivier van Noortlaan 120 in Vlaardingen. including the laboratory, the scene where the professor hermetically seals the hiding place, causing Adriaan to see the doors close right behind him after he had just slipped in, and the prison scene where Bassie and Adriaan are eventually locked up together after having the green men carry out all kinds of crazy assignments. This location can also be seen in the song 'zeg beeld je nou voor' (Say Imagine Now). In this song, Bassie's dream scene can be seen in which he exercises various professions such as Professor and Minister. Unfortunately, the building is no longer publicly accessible due to renovation and demolition work. Fortunately, today, November 7, 2024, I received permission from the construction company's foreman to take some photos in the building, with great exception. That said, it was no easy task to find the exact locations in the building. the Lab on the 3rd floor has changed beyond recognition due to the many renovations in the past and present. The scene with the closing doors and the aquarium is actually 1 of the 3 elevator doors on the 3rd floor. The prison scene is and remains a special one. This scene was recorded in the basement of the adjacent wing of the main building. This part of the building will unfortunately soon be demolished and the building has been declared unsafe. Under strict conditions I was allowed to view this location today. However, just like B100 I was unlucky today! Upon arrival the entire basement appeared to be 1 meter under water and it was irresponsible to view the exact location. I do have the promise from the Contractor that when the water is pumped away (probably sometime in the coming months) he will try to take a number of photos of the basement and send them to me.
