Station where Nick and Charlie take the train

In the last episode of the 1st series, Nick takes Charlie to the beach as a surprise. The train journey starts at North Weald train station.

North Weald station was opened by the Great Eastern Railway (GER) on 24 April 1865 and served primarily as a goods yard, bringing agricultural produce from nearby farms to London. During World War II it was often used by airmen traveling to and from nearby North Weald Airfield. British Rail steam locomotives for the London Underground operated a shuttle service from Epping to Ongar (stopping at North Weald) from 1949 to 1957, when the track was electrified and taken over by the Central Line.

Since 2004, the station has been owned by a private steam company.
